Koraput, Dec 26: With reliable inputs regarding disproportionate assets amassed by a government official, the Odisha vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on at least eight locations associated with Surendra Kumar Tanti, Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) Borigumma in Odisha’s Koraput district.
During the raids, the anti-corruption agency reportedly unearthed assets worth a few crores possessed by the ARI.
Till the last report came in, as many as two multi storied buildings with at least 17 plots situated in prime locations were unearthed from the possession of Tanti, that is suspected to be fetched from the illegal sources.
Search operations are underway, said a vigilance official.
