New Delhi, Dec 25: Bharat Ratna, the India’s highest civilian Award, should be awarded to former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh raised the issue while speaking to the pressers at Begusarai on Wednesday.
He also named Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as a deserving person to be conferred with the coveted national award.
Speaking to the media in Begusarai, Singh praised Patnaik’s vision and unwavering dedication to public service, which he credited for driving Odisha’s remarkable progress to a higher scale. Singh highlighted Patnaik’s pivotal role in transforming the state, citing his good governance during his tenure as the Odisha CM.
Similarly underlining the Bihar on the way of progress, Singh lauded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his unstinted support for it. Thus, he also advocated for Nitish to award the Bharat Ratna.
While, the BJD’s top leadership’s long-cherished cry to Award the Bharat Ratna to Naveen during his glorious regime, remained unaddressed, Singh’s proposal on it, warmed up the Odisha and national politics.
