Bhubaneswar, March 22: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar and discuss the ongoing Mahanadi water dispute.
During Sai’s visit to Odisha, he took the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on Majhi, sparking an important dialogue between the two leaders.
Majhi stressed the importance of an amicable solution, highlighting the shared linguistic and cultural ties between the two states. He called for an immediate resolution that would prioritize the welfare of both states’ residents. Sai echoed this sentiment, expressing his commitment to finding a peaceful and mutually beneficial resolution through continued dialogue.
This meeting follows Majhi’s earlier statements about his government’s efforts to address the issue with Chhattisgarh. The agreement between the Chief Ministers to focus on resolving the Mahanadi water dispute signals a positive step toward a long-term solution.
