Cuttack, Sept 16: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the newly-built Netaji Bus Terminal today.
Sources said a special helipad has been built in Sunshine Field and necessary arrangements have been made for route lining. A carcade rehearsal was also held on Friday. The Commissionerate Police has made tight security arrangements in the proximity of the bus terminal.
As many as 20 platoons of police force along with 100 police officials will be deployed at the event.
According to the report, the bus terminal has a three-storeyed terminal building, regular bus bays to accommodate 180 buses at a time, space for local and Mo Bus service, Bus repair workshop and parking space, special parking lot for four wheelers and three wheelers.
The bus terminal has all the facilities such as- ticket counters, rest room. Cloak room, food court and e-vehicle charging station, rooftop rain water harvesting and solar panels.
The terminal will have motifs and paintings on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s life and sacrifice for the country.
Worth mentioning, The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had laid foundation stone of Netaji Bus Terminal on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
