Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur, December 15: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched a scathing critique of the Congress party, accusing it of lacking "shame, responsibility, or liability." Speaking on Sunday, Pradhan remarked that the Indian public has repeatedly exposed Congress's failures.
"Yesterday, the Honourable Prime Minister presented some historical truths in the House. The Congress party continues to evade accountability and ignore the truth, as demonstrated by their attitude during his speech. The people of this country have shown them the mirror time and again," Pradhan stated.
The comments followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's sharp criticism of Congress during a two-day discussion in Lok Sabha marking 75 years of the Constitution. On Saturday, PM Modi accused Congress of undermining the Constitution and promoted his vision for a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India).
Highlighting Congress's history, PM Modi accused the party of disrespecting the Constitution and curbing citizens' rights, particularly during the Emergency. He also pointed out the absence of an elected government in the years immediately following Independence, calling it a "temporary, selected" administration without a public mandate.
Modi further criticized Congress's "Garibi Hatao" slogan, labeling it the "biggest Jumla" while emphasizing his government’s commitment to alleviating poverty. "If we adhere to our fundamental duties, no one can stop us from achieving a developed India," the Prime Minister asserted.
The debate in Lok Sabha highlighted contrasting visions for India's future, with BJP leaders emphasizing accountability and constitutional integrity while accusing Congress of dynastic politics and historical missteps.
