<strong>Dance of ailing Kamala Pujari with woman volunteer goes viral: Triggers criticism</strong>

Koraput, Sept 2: Dance of Padma Shri Kamala Pujari with a woman social worker during her treatment in SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack has gone viral on social media. The pose in the hospital cabin has triggered criticism. Sources said that Padma Shri Pujari was admitted to the SCB Medical College and hospital, Cuttack as she complained of chest pain with some other health problems. She was later shifted to the ICU as her condition worsened. A 11-member team of doctors expedited her treatment,gradually her health condition improved and she was discharged. During the course of treatment, social worker Mamata Behera attended Pujari during her treatment and rendered service. Subsequently, Pujari was allowed to be discharged, by the team of doctors. Meanwhile, Mamata inspired Pujari to dance before her discharge. However, the form of dance, they shook legs together at that time, known as Dhemsa went viral and attracted mixed response from the viewers. Some depicted adverse remarks on it, saying it harmful for the elderly woman while a few fans praised the noble endeavour of the woman volunteer, saying it a bit of exercise for Pujari. Responding to the dispute over the dance, Pujari said that Mamata served her as one of her kith and kin selflessly. “Mamata is one of my good friends. I am pleased with her service at my need”, added Pujari. On the other hand, Mamata said that the dance with Padma Shri Pujari was a flush of joy with the great woman, after her swift recovery. “The dance was nothing but a reflection of the emotional attachment", said Mamata.
