Bhubaneswar, April 16: With the vacancies of lecturers and readers in Odisha Universities, the state Higher Education Department on Wednesday resolved to fill up all faculty positions.
Recruitment for the vacant teaching posts across various universities in the State will soon be filled under the New Odisha University Amendment Act, informed Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
Expressing deep concern over vacancies of as many as 1,353 teaching posts in different state-run universities, Suraj underlined earlier steps to address the academics issues.
To address the issue, Minister Suraj held a high-level meeting with the Vice Chancellors of all universities and directed them to submit detailed proposals for recruitment within a short period.
