Flag march conducted in Odisha's Balasore town ahead of Durga Puja festival

 Bhubaneswar, October 6: A flag march was conducted in Balasore town, Odisha, on Sunday to ensure peaceful celebrations of the upcoming Durga Puja festival. 

Dr. Satyajit Naik, DIG of the Eastern Range, stated that the exercise was carried out to maintain law and order during the festive season. The march involved two companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and three platoons of the state police force.

 

The joint forces marched through sensitive areas of Balasore town, showcasing their preparedness to address any potential threats. Dr. Naik mentioned that police patrolling has been intensified in these areas, CCTV cameras have been installed, and plainclothes policemen have been deployed to curb any untoward activities.

 

Dr. Naik also urged the citizens to cooperate with the security personnel and report any suspicious behavior. "With these measures in place, we are confident of a safe and joyful festive season," he added.
