Balasore, Feb 6: In a midnight heist, some miscreants looted a gold crown, three silver crowns and a donation box from the Jagannath temple at Champu village under Soro police limits in Odisha’s Balasore last night.
As per reports, the loot came to light after the temple’s priest arrived to perform the daily rituals of the presiding deities this morning.
Thereafter, the temple priest filed a complaint with Soro police in this regard. In the complaint, he also alleged that the looters vandalized the temple before decamping with the valuable items.
Acting on it, police swung into action and arrived at the scene to probe the loot. The cops are conducting a thorough investigation and efforts are on to trace and nab the culprits involved.
