Landmine explosion in Kandhamal: 2 youths critical

Kandhamal, Mar 28: A youth has been critical in a landmine explosion in Kandhamal on Monday. The incident took place at Kiamunda forest under the Firingia police limits at the noon. The injured have been identified as Indramani Kanhara and his associate. Sources said, the duos were going to their village on a bike, meanwhile, a landmine set by the Maoists went off. As a result, they sustained critical injuries. Being informed, locals admitted them to the Firingia hospital. Later, they were shifted to the district headquarters hospitals after their condition worsened. Worth mentioning, in another incident in February, at the same spot, Maoists had set an excavator of a civil contractor ablaze and killed a youth with a landmine explosion.
