Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: Physical Education Teacher (PET) at Kaipadar High School in Odisha’s Khordha district Bastab Mohapatra is now the talk of the town for his aptitude in sports event management.
With the meticulous management of the All India School-Level Beach Volleyball Tournament, recently concluded in Puri, Bastab has been the eyeball among the sports faculties and ace athletes.
With the recommendation of the Odisha Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Bastaba was empanelled as a Referee in the National-Level Beach Volleyball Tournament, one among the 15 selected PETs.
The 3-day tournament wherein at least 70 grooming volleyball players participated from across the nation, delivered their stunning performances. Among other sports techies and teachers, Bastab, being a young and sportive athlete managed some spectacular events,that attracted the spectators’ attention.
On asked, the new-generation sports teacher said that he is orchestrating the best to represent the state in national-level matches to perform as an efficient referee.
“I will be humbly acknowledge the offers of the Education Department and the Sports & Youth Affairs Authorities as well in future once offered assuring impartial and justful judgement”, he added.
