Last rites of Bishnu Charan Sethi performed

Bhubaneswar, Sept 20: The last rites of Senior BJP leader and Dhamnagar legislator Bishnu Charan Sethi were held at his ancestral village at Mangarajpur in the Tihidi block of Odisha's Bhadrak district last night. Sethi’s funeral was performed by his son Suraj Suryavanshi. Sethi breathed his last while undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar on Monday. He was suffering from kidney ailments and was in the ICU for the last two months. AIIMS authorities had said that he had developed lung infections and suffered a brain hemorrhage. Notably, Sethi was first elected to the Odisha Assembly on a BJP ticket in 2000 and later became MLA from Dhamnagar constituency in Bhadrak district in 2019. He was the deputy leader of the opposition in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.Sethi was also the Vice President of BJP’s Odisha unit.
