Bhubaneswar, Mar 23: Light to moderate rainfall is likely to lash as many as 15 districts of Odisha today, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per reports, the weather department has issued a Yellow Warning predicting thunderstorms with lightning in some areas for Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts.
The Met department further added that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in some areas of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
A few places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar may also receive rain.
It is worth mentioning that a powerful rainstorm and hailstorm have wreaked havoc in Odisha, leaving two people dead and 67 others injured on Saturday.
The severe weather event caused extensive damage, with around 600 houses affected across multiple districts.
