Bhubaneswar, April 28: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday came down heavily on the BJD and BJP and accused them of running governments that caters to few.
While addressing a public meeting in Cuttack’s Salipur, Gandhi drew a comparison between Modi government at the Centre and Naveen-led Odisha government and said that while PM Modi runs a government that caters to 22 billionaires, Naveen Babu’s government works for few selected people.
BJD and BJP have got married in the state. Call it partnership or marriage, both the parties are working together.
"They have looted you. Nine lakh crore rupees was looted through the mining scam, Rs 20,000 crore through land grab, and Rs 15,000 crore through plantation scam. When the Congress government is formed, we will start giving you back your money,” Gandhi said.
Earlier today, Rahul paid tribute to Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das at his birthplace in Satyabhamapur.
