Puri, Jan 1: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created 100-foot-long and 45-foot-wide sand sculpture at Puri Beach, delivering a powerful environmental message.
His artwork, which reads "Happy New Year, Go Green," calls for urgent global action to address climate change and protect the environment.
Pattnaik also created a breathtaking and intricate depiction of Lord Jagannath, adorned with delicate floral detailing. The sculpture bears the message "Jai Jagannath 2025," extending his blessings for the year ahead.
The artist was joined by students from his sand art institute to bring this stunning creation to life. Pattnaik shared images of the artwork on his social media, writing: “Jai Jagannath, On the (English) New Year, May Mahaprabhu’s grace be upon all! My Sand art on Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s Padma Vesha at Puri beach.”
A Padma awardee and internationally renowned for his sand art, Pattnaik has consistently used his craft to raise awareness on crucial environmental issues. His latest masterpiece is a testament to his dedication to inspiring positive change and serves as a poignant reminder of our collective responsibility to safeguard the planet.
