Balasore, Jan 24: Odia space scientist Subodh Kumar Nayak joined as Director of Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Odisha’s Chandipur on Wednesday.
Born in the Sambalpur district, Nayak passed out his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla. He completed his M.Tech degree from IIT-Mumbai in aerospace engineering.
After completing his Fellowship at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT)-Pune, Nayak joined as a research scientist in the DRDO-Pune in September 1994. Following this, he proved his excellence on several projects in different capacities and posts.
Nayak has decades of experience as a scientist especially in the manufacturing and development of warhead systems.
