Rourkela, January 9: In an unprecedented incident, a CISF Jawan shot himself dead in the Rourkela Steel Plant(RSP) on Thursday.
The deceased Jawan has been identified as Abhinand PK, a native of the Kunnur district in Kerala.
According to reports, the Jawan was deployed in the RSP premises today. Meanwhile, he shot himself all of a sudden from the service rifle issued to him and found dead.
On being informed the police recovered the body from the spot and sent it for postmortem following inquests.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the extreme decision of the cop.
