Bhubaneswar, March 21:The State Cabinet on Thursday approved the extension of deadline of the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS), introduced by the Water Resources Department, till May 31, 2025.
The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accorded approval to the OTS, in order to boost the state exchequer with collecting the unsettled water taxes.
Briefing on the public friendly OTS in connection with the water resources department, the CM said the new scheme of taxation aims to collect arrears of water taxes from Central/State Public Sector Undertakings, Central/State Government organizations, and private industrial, commercial, and other establishments in easier ways.
