Bhubaneswar, October 23: The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, today approved six significant proposals, including an amendment to the guidelines of the Subhadra Yojana.
The meeting was held at the Lok Seva Bhawan and discussed the six different proposals of various departments.
One of the key approvals was the implementation of the ‘Samrudhi Krushak Yojana’, designed to increase farmers' income.
Under this scheme, registered farmers selling paddy through the Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare will receive Rs 3,100 per quintal, including input assistance and the prevailing minimum support price (MSP).
Additionally, the Cabinet approved a proposal to amend the Odisha GST Act, 2017, in line with recommendations from the GST Council.
Another important decision was the appointment of Arun Kumar Sarangi as Chairman of the Odisha Public Service Commission.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja briefed the media on these decisions, highlighting the government's commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening governance in the state.
