Bhubaneswar, December 22: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional office in Bhubaneswar has forecast dense fog in several parts of Odisha over the next 24 hours following the cessation of low-pressure-induced rain.
A yellow warning has been issued for six districts: Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Koraput. The IMD has also predicted a drop in night temperatures by 2°C to 4°C, signaling the return of cold wave conditions across the state.
Districts such as Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, and Rayagada are already experiencing foggy conditions. The weather office has advised residents to exercise caution while commuting due to reduced visibility during early mornings.
