Bhubaneswar, February 20: The Annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination in Odisha is set to begin on Friday.
A total of 5,12,437 students will appear for the Class X exams, which will take place at 3,029 centers across the state’s 30 districts.
The exams will begin in February and conclude on March 6.
On the first day, students will take the First Language paper, which includes options such as Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, or Alternative English.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has implemented strict measures to prevent cheating and ensure no question paper leaks.
To maintain the integrity of the exams, 314 nodal centers have been established, and CCTV cameras with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology have been installed for continuous surveillance at both exam and nodal centers. A four-tier squad system has been put in place to monitor and prevent malpractices. A centralized control room at the BSE headquarters will oversee real-time monitoring through live streaming, with board officials managing exam activities remotely to ensure transparency.
Each question paper has been assigned a unique serial number to trace any potential leaks. The papers were dispatched to the exam centers on February 12 and safely reached their destinations by February 19, under tight security.
The evaluation process will begin on March 19, with nodal centers in each district ensuring the smooth conduct of both the examination and assessment processes.
