Bhubaneswar, December 8: Dhirendra Sambhaji Kutey, a 1997-batch IPS officer of the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF).
In an official communication sent on December 6 to Odisha's Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kumar, the Under Secretary to the Government of India conveyed the approval of the competent authority for Kutey's appointment. The letter stated, “Approval has been granted for the appointment of Shri Dhirendra Sambhaji Kutey, IPS (OD: 1997), as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF), at Level-14 in the Pay Matrix. He will assume charge of the post immediately, with his tenure continuing until his superannuation on February 29, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
The letter further requested that Kutey be relieved of his current duties so that he could take up his new role at the Centre.
