New Delhi, Oct 5: The Centre is set to release the 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today. Under this initiative, eligible small and marginal farmers receive an annual income support of Rs 6,000, distributed in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each.
The last instalment was disbursed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 18, 2024.
Who Benefits from PM-KISAN?
The PM-KISAN scheme aims to support small and marginal farmers across India. Farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land are eligible to receive benefits from this program. The funds are directly transferred to their bank accounts to ensure timely assistance.
How to Check Eligibility
Farmers can verify their eligibility and enrollment status by following these steps:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN website.
- Navigate to the beneficiary list page.
- Select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village.
- Click on 'Get Report' to view the beneficiary list and check if your name is included. The beneficiary list is also displayed at local Panchayats for added transparency.
- Completing eKYC for Continued Payments
To ensure continued receipt of PM-KISAN benefits, farmers must complete their eKYC. This can be done in three ways:
- OTP-based eKYC: Available on the PM-KISAN portal and mobile app.
- Biometric eKYC: Offered at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs).
- Face Authentication-based eKYC: Accessible via the PM-KISAN Mobile App.
