Bhubaneswar, Dec 29: Odisha is all set to welcome the first-ever Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) celebration in the state, scheduled to be held from January 8 to 10, 2025 in Bhubaneswar. This will be the 18th edition of the national event, and for the first time, it will be hosted in Odisha.
To make the occasion memorable for the attendees, the state government has planned special tours to showcase the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.
As part of the celebrations, visitors will have the opportunity to visit iconic locations like the Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri Buddhist sites, which hold significant cultural importance. Additionally, the itinerary includes a visit to the Maritime Museum in Cuttack and the birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, which will highlight Odisha’s rich history.
The state government has curated three special tour plans.
Tour 1 will take visitors from Ratnagiri to Udayagiri, followed by lunch and a visit to Lalitgiri.
Tour 2 will include visits to the Netaji Birthplace Museum in Cuttack, the Odisha Maritime Museum, and other key locations in the city.
Tour 3 will focus on the famous Puri Blue Flag Beach and a visit to the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri.
