Bhubaneswar, Mar 12: President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day visit to Odisha on 24 and 25 March.
Prez Murmu is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 1:30 pm on March 24.
Upon her arrival, she will board a helicopter that will land at Paltan Padia in Kantilo, from where she will proceed to the revered Nilamadhab temple. After offering her prayers and having a sacred darshan of the temple deities, the President will attend a special programme before heading back to the state capital.
Later in the day, President Murmu will attend the annual celebration of the Shabar Samaj Foundation at the Bharati Vishwabhushan Shabar Samaj in Kaliapalli. She will be the chief guest at the event, where she will address the gathering. Following these, the President will return to Bhubaneswar and spend the night at Raj Bhavan.
On March 25, the President will depart from Bhubaneswar in the morning and head to Cuttack, where she will participate in the 13th annual convocation of Ravenshaw University as the chief guest.
Afterward, she will lay the foundation stone for a development project at Ravenshaw Girls' Higher Secondary School.
The President will continue with a lunch break at the Cuttack Circuit House. She will then visit the statue of Adikavi Sarala Das in Tulasipur to offer floral tributes. From there, she will head to the Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium, where she will attend the Kalinga Ratna Award 2024 ceremony organized by the Sarala Sahitya Samaj to celebrate the 600th birth anniversary of Sarala Das. President Murmu will be the chief guest at the event, honoring the literary legacy of the renowned Odia poet.
After the event, the President will return to Bhubaneswar and later depart for Delhi at 5:30 pm.
