Nayagarh, Dec 29: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday assured the best possible aid to the rain hit farmers after his field visit.
Following his spot assessments in the Nayagarh district Majhi interacted with the affected farmers and became compassionate to their sufferings for immense loss of paddy crops due to the recent rains that lashed incessantly across the state. Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy also accompanied the Chief Minister.
Majhi discussed the matter with the district administration to conduct a sincere survey on the crop losses and report to the government at the earliest.
Worth mentioning, CM Mohan Majhi is also scheduled to undertake spot visits to Ganjam and Gajapati districts to assess the devastation caused by unseasonal rains in paddy fields and other standing crops on the following days.
