Bhubaneswar: Andha Kanoon magic back on screens! The explosive pair of Thailava Rajnikant and Sahenshah Amitabh Bachchan starred Vettaiyan (The Hunter) Hindi trailer has been released by the makers. The trailer shows Big B playing the role of Judge, and Thailava Rajnikant a cop.
Unlike the 1980’s Andha Kanoon, where both Amitabh and Rajnikant ganged up to eliminate the bad men, who skilfully exonerated themselves legally in the courts, the trailer zooms the superstars criss-crossing paths in Vettaiyan – The Hunter.
The irony of the Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikant reunion after 1991 is, like their first film Andha Kanoon, this film too revolves around the plot of justice, cops and criminals. But twist in the plot in Vettaiyan (The Hunter) is, in the upcoming movie when Police dept is grappling with a powerful criminal, and the only way left out for the cops is to do an encounter, Thailavar makes the dashing entry.
From here begins the coming up of Rajnikant face to face with Amitabh Bachchan. The action-packed film has the trademark Rajni stunts and actions scenes. Amitabh playing a sauve justice role, who stood like a 'Deewar' (wall) against the encounter justice. From the trailer, it seems the film has an engaging plot. And the actions of Superstar Rajnikant and Amitabh Bachchan are the icing on the cake.
MOVIEGOERS VET VETTAIYAN
The Rajnikant-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Vettaiyan (The Hunter in Hindi) has been given a thumbs up by the humungous fans of both the superstars and movie goers alike. Within 24 minutes of trailer release by Sony Music, the views touched a massive 29,954 and 4.1K likes. All eyes are now on October 10, when the film will hit the theatres – and when the country will in Durga puja mood.
BACHCHAN VOICE DUBBING ROW
Days ahead of the trailer release, Vettaiyan plunged into a row over dubbing of Amitabh Bachchan’s voice by actor Prakash Raj.
The dubbing of Prakash Raj voice with Amitabh Bachchan sparked an online outpouring then, where hundreds of viewers made strong observations about using Prakash Raj’s voice for such an iconic figure like Amitabh, which will made the character less impactful. Fans, even, voiced their concerns over this dubbing fiasco that could cost the performance of Big B.
The outpouring was so huge that the makers of the film clarified that Amitabh Bachchan’s original voice would now be used in the film by using the Artificial Intellegence.
Though in the trailer, the voice of Amitabh Bachchan sounds original, it shows no compromise with the quality and pitch of Amitabh Bachchan’s original voice. However, the AI-play out impact can only be assessed upon the release of the film.
