Bhubaneswar, February 8: Assistance under Subhadra Yojna was credited to 18 lakh beneficiaries on Saturday.
The Odisha government disbursed the fourth phase of financial support of Rs 5000 under the ambitious 'Subhadra Yojana' to the left out women.
In a special event held in Jajpur, CM Mohan Charan Majhi formally initiated the credit to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida who joined the event, stated that at least 98 lakh women beneficiaries have yet availed the Subhadra assistance during the last 7 months.
The second instalment will be released on March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day, the Deputy CM assured.
The deprived ones will also avail the assistance on the same day.
