Bhubaneswar, February 23: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Warning for thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and hail in Odisha until February 24.
Several districts, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, and Balasore, are expected to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Other areas such as Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati will also see thunderstorms, while the rest of the state will remain dry.
A Yellow Warning has been issued for thunderstorms and gusty winds (30-40 km/h) in places like Angul, Dhenkanal, and several others.
On February 25, light rain or thunderstorms are expected to continue in some districts, with dry weather in others. The IMD advises staying updated and taking shelter during thunderstorms for safety.
