New Delhi, April 16: United States Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by his wife Usha Vance, will embark on a four-day official visit to India from April 21 to 24. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold high-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a strong focus on advancing the proposed bilateral trade agreement and strengthening the India-US strategic partnership.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officially announced the visit on Wednesday, with Vice President Vance's office also issuing a separate statement confirming the trip.
Vance’s visit comes amid growing international concerns over trade-related tensions linked to President Donald Trump's tariff policies. The discussions are expected to include efforts to expedite the finalisation of the much-anticipated trade pact, which aims to resolve key issues such as tariffs, market access, and supply chain collaboration.
