Mumbai, Dec 28: Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is gearing up to welcome the New Year with his family. The actor was spotted at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Saturday alongside his wife Natasha Dalal and their daughter as they set off for a vacation.
Dressed casually for the journey, Varun sported a black t-shirt, grey pants, and a black jacket, accessorized with red and black shoes. He completed his travel-ready look with a backpack, beanie, and sunglasses.
The trip comes as a much-needed break for Varun, who appears to have moved on from the lukewarm response to his recent theatrical release, Baby John.
The film has struggled at the box office, earning just Rs 19.65 crore within three days of its release, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Baby John faces stiff competition from Pushpa 2 and Mufasa, both of which continue to outperform Varun's film in terms of box office collections.
It is worth mentioning that in a recent interview, Varun shared his thoughts on the challenges faced by the Hindi film industry. He pointed out that Bollywood is currently dominated by a Mumbai-centric mindset, which often influences creative and production decisions.
While acknowledging Mumbai’s role as the entertainment hub of India, Varun emphasized the need for diverse voices from across the country to enrich Bollywood’s storytelling and appeal to a broader audience.
