Bhubaneswar: Last December, Bollywood has rightly averted the titanic ‘M’- clash. The clash of Maddock films Chhaava and Mythrri Moviemakers Pushpa 2 The Rule.
Recently, Allu Arjun, in an interview, has even stated that he personally spoke to a Hindi cinema production house for postponing the release of the film to avoid clash with Pushpa 2. Though Allu Arjun didn’t name the production house, it was actually Maddock films that were planning to release Chhaava in December 2024.
Even Maddock films have recently revealed that the release of Vicky kaushal starred Chhaava was rescheduled to avert the clash with Pushpa 2 The Rule.
The mutual agreement between the two cinema production houses proved a win-win strategy for them, as after Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 mayhem at Box Office, it’s now the turn of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava having a wonder show at the box office.
CHHAAVA TRUMPS PUSHPA 2 THE RULE
Senior film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh Monday dropped the big news about Chhaava’s wonder show at the box office.
Stating that the Maddock film sparkles in the Weekend 3, he revealed that Chhaava has set a new benchmark by emerging as the highest-grossing film in Weekend 3.
- Chhaava: Rs 60.10cr
- Pushpa 2 Hindi: Rs 60cr
- Stree 2: Rs 48.75cr
- Bahubali: 42.55cr
CHHAAVA WEEK WISE COLLECTIONS
As per box office report, Vicky Kaushal starred Chhaava has collected Rs 225.28cr in its first week, the net collections in the week number 2 stood at 186.18cr. The film has trumped Pushpa 2 in its third weekend when the collection breached the Rs 60cr benchmark set by Allu Arjun starred Pushpa 2.
With a phenomenal collection in its weekend 3, Chhaava has inched closer to 500cr club. The net collections for Chhava as on Monday stood at Rs 471.56 cr.
The report shows Chhaava has grossed nearly 53% of its collections from the Mahrashtra/Mubai region, of the 47% collected from rest of India, data shows, South India and Delhi-UP region accounted for 14% each.
