Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: The Annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began today in Odisha and will continue until March 6, 2025.
A total of over 5.22L students will appear for the Class X exams scheduled from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, which will take place at 3,133 centers across the state.
As per reports, students are required to arrive at the examination centers by 7:30 AM for timely entry. Examination question papers are dispatched from 314 nodal centers and arrived between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
The BSE Odisha has implemented strict measures to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and prevent malpractices. To safeguard against question paper leaks, the board has introduced sealed question papers and strict distribution protocols. Flying squads and static surveillance teams have been deployed to monitor exam centers, while CCTV cameras have been installed at sensitive locations to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
Students must carry their admit cards and adhere to all exam day instructions, including restrictions on electronic devices inside examination halls. To enhance security, question papers have been tagged with QR codes and special numbers.
Though an exact date has not been specified yet, the results are expected to be announced in May 2025.
Students who do not perform satisfactorily in the main examination will have the opportunity to improve their scores through supplementary exams, with dates to be announced after the main results.
