AYUSH doctor arrested for killing his father over illicit affair with wife in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, July 18: Khandagiri police today arrested a 42-year-old AYUSH doctor allegedly beaten his father to death on Thursday late night. The deceased has been identified as Rajkishore Mishra (72), a retired government officer. As per reports, the accused son identified as Ranjan Mishra assaulted his father suspecting illicit affair between his wife and his father. The senior citizen was rushed to the Capital Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Police subsequently arrested the killer son. Police said that the accused was posted in Banapur in Khordha district as an AYUSH doctor. “The accused used to suspect his father of having illicit affair with his wife. The accused has also been abusing his wife over this. He also resigned from his service on July 9,” said a police official.
