Bhubaneswar, January 1: While the Odisha government is all set to roll out the centre’s Ayushman Bharat Scheme soon, women can now get free and cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh.
Odisha Health & Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling informed it on Wednesday.
While underlining the significance of the welfare scheme, Mahaling said, the coverage will be linked to the e-KYC database ensuring seamless issuance of insurance cards.
The initiative will be rolled out in coming February, he added.
Clearing air on the BKSY, Mahaling said, under the scheme of Gopabandu Jana Arogya and Ayushman Bharat programmes, men will receive coverage of Rs 5 lakh, while women are eligible for Rs 10 lakh free treatment.
These enhanced benefits will be accessible in a chain of 30,000 ace hospitals across the nation, Mahaling added.
