Cyclone Dana: OJEE asks MBBS & BDS aspirants to report allotted institutions

Bhubaneswar, Oct 24:The Cyclone System Dana which is almost looming over the Odisha and West Bengal skies, has stood as an indomitable barrier before the career of thousands of genius who have qualified in the JEE and OJEE.

The successful ones who have clinched good ranks for qualifying in the MBBS and BDS admission screened in the tough national-level joint entrance are now in trouble for the impending circulation of the ‘Cyclone Dana’.Meanwhile,the counseling process for the BDS and MBBS aspirants has been affected due to the weather related adversities. 

Acting on the unavoidable circumstances, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authorities have directed the candidate, who had participated in MBBS/BDS counseling till round 3, to report physically to their final allotted colleges between October 24 and 26.

In one of the emergent notifications, the OJEE informed all concerned that, “All reported candidates till the 3rd round Counseling, that the upgradation round allotment has been published. Accordingly, all the reported candidates can download final allotment letter and physically report to their final allotted college during on or before October 26. Upgraded candidates have to report to their final allotted college with revised bond.”

“Similarly, candidates freshly allotted in the upgradation round have to report at OJEE Cell Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on October 26 between 10AM and 4PM) mandatorily, else the allotment will be cancelled and the vacant seat will be considered for the stray vacancy round counseling,” the notification read.

On the other hand,Deans and Principals of  the concerned colleges are asked to make essential arrangements for registering the physical reporting of the counseled candidates.
