The Fire Safety Awareness Week, observed across Paradip Port with the aim of enhancing public understanding and preparedness for fire-related emergencies, has concluded successfully. Throughout the week, starting on April 14th, 2025, the Paradip Fire Department, in collaboration with local organizations and community volunteers, conducted a series of impactful initiatives to educate residents, businesses, and institutions on crucial fire safety measures. This year’s campaign focused on the theme "Unite, to ignite a fire safe India", emphasizing the importance of proactive measures and community involvement in preventing fires and ensuring swift and safe responses when they occur.

The Paradip Fire Department expressed its gratitude to all the participating organizations, volunteers, and the community members for their enthusiastic involvement in making the Fire Safety Awareness Week a resounding success. They reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents through continuous awareness programs and efficient emergency response services.
At the valedictory function held at Gate No.-4, Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy.Chairman, PPA said, "Fire safety is not just the responsibility of the fire department; it requires the active participation of every individual. The knowledge and preparedness gained during this week will undoubtedly contribute to making Paradip a safer place for everyone. Shri Sanat Kumar Patel, Commandant, CISF gave the welcome address. The Asst. Commandant, CISF, Shri Akash Jaiswal offered the vote of thanks. The winners of various competitions such as school children, housewives, PPA employees, Port beneficiaries and general public, conducted during the Fire Service Week, were awarded with the prize for their active participation and spreading the word of fire safety across the citizens. The Fire rescue and Disaster Management demonstrations were also conducted by the CISF Department.
