Mumbai, Feb 2: Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited the Parsee Gymkhana in south Mumbai on Sunday, where he took part in a game of tennis ball cricket. Sunak expressed his enjoyment, joking that he was pleased with how few times he got out during the match.
“No trip to Mumbai is complete without a game of tennis ball cricket,” he wrote on X.
“It was great to be with everyone at the Parsee Gymkhana Club for its anniversary celebrations. What an extraordinary achievement, with so much history and even more exciting things ahead.”
Speaking to reporters, Sunak added that he was looking forward to more such visits. The Parsee Gymkhana, founded on February 25, 1885, by Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy with Jamsetjee Tata as chairman, relocated to its current Marine Drive location in 1887.
