Balasore, Dec 25: In a broad daylight heist, miscreants allegedly looted gold jewelry worth Rs 5 lakh from a jewelry shop in Kamarda area of Odisha’s Balasore district.
Reports said that the shop owner had stepped out to fetch water, leaving behind a bag containing 300 grams of gold jewelry and cash. When he returned, he discovered that the bag was missing.
Thereafter, the shop owner searched the area but couldn’t locate the stolen items and later filed a complaint at the Kamarda police station.
Acting on the shop owner's complaint, the police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
