Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), December 15: Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed immense joy during an event in Jagdalpur, where he met a group of 30 surrendered Naxals and insurgents from six states—Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Assam.
Addressing the gathering, Shah remarked, "I am the happiest person today, even more than you or your families, as our painstaking efforts to convince you to surrender and join the mainstream have borne fruit."
He lauded the event's significance, emphasizing the growing response from youth who are abandoning violence. "It gives me immense satisfaction that the country's youngsters are heeding our appeal, realizing the futility of violence, and choosing to surrender," Shah said.
The Home Minister's remarks highlighted the government's continuous efforts to reintegrate insurgents and promote peace in violence-affected regions.
