Ayodhya, Feb 24: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi along with his family on Sunday visited Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya and offered prayers.
After offering prayers at the temple, CM Majhi, who is on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, expressed his gratitude and said, "I am fortunate to have visited today. With God's grace and Prime Minister Modi's efforts, our nation's progress continues to rise."
He also stated that he would request the Uttar Pradesh government to allocate land for constructing an Odisha Bhavan in Ayodhya for convenience of the devotees traveling from the state.
Earlier in the day, Odisha CM Majhi, along with his family, visited the Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Majhi participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.
Notably, the Maha Kumbh Mela commenced on January 13 and has been witnessing a massive influx of devotees each day, with the total number exceeding 600 million.
According to the Maha Kumbh Mela administration, the number of devotees who have taken a holy dip at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh has crossed 600 million. By noon on Saturday, over 7.18 million devotees had already bathed in the sacred Triveni.
The final dip of the Maha Kumbh is scheduled for Maha Shivaratri on February 26.
