Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 10: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.

As per reports, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received President Murmu upon her arrival at Prayagraj earlier today.
Taking to its official ‘X’ handle, the Rashtrapati Bhavan wrote, "Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival at Prayagraj."
After her arrival, President Murmu fed migratory birds at Triveni Sangam and took the holy dip. Following the holy dip, the President offered prayers at Triveni Sangam, a confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati Rivers.

Notably, the Uttar Pradesh government informed that approximately 8.429 million devotees took a holy dip at Maha Kumbh 2025 on Sunday. So far, more than 420 million devotees have participated in the holy ritual at the event.
Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the largest spiritual and cultural gathering in the world. The grand event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
With millions of devotees already attending from across India and worldwide, the event is expected to set new records for both attendance and participation.
