Nabarangpur, April 21: In a tragic incident, a woman was brutally killed by her husband in Haldi village under Chandahandi police limits in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Anita Sori while the accused has been identified as Dushmanta Nayak. Dushmanta, after killing Anita, hid the body in the box of a bed and fled from the spot. He also locked the room before leaving.
The incident came to fore while the woman’s family raised suspicion and filed a complaint with Chandabali police limits. Police reached the spot and recovered the body hidden inside the box of the bed.
The body has been sent for autopsy. Further investigation in this regard is underway.
Worth mentioning, the exact motive behind the murder remains unclear. Police have launched a manhunt to trace Dushmant Nayak.
