Keonjhar, April 23: In a tragic incident, a 15 year old boy of a private residential college was allegedly stangled to death by his classmates in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

The decesed has been identified as Jaladhar Mahanat of Tangarpada village in Baria Police station area in the district. The incident took place in the hostel of a private Institution on Monday night, said police.

Based on a complaint lodged by the deceased boy’s student Yudhistir Mahanat police started primary investigation.

“We conducted an investigation and found the involvement of three students in the crime”, said Sudarshan Gangoi, Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Keonjhar.

The body of the deceased will be handed over to his family after post-mortem examination.
