Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today said that the verification process of the rejected applications is expected to be completed within 15 days.
The Deputy CM stressed that districts most severely affected will be given priority to ensure quick corrective action. She also reiterated the need for transparency and efficiency in addressing the issues. Additionally, she revealed that a high number of rejections have been recorded in the regions of Malkangiri, Gajapati, and Koraput.
She also added that girls turning 21 this month are eligible for this yojana and urged everyone to apply without delay. Speaking to the media, Parida emphasized that the Odisha government is dedicated to identifying eligible beneficiaries who were previously rejected for various reasons and ensuring they are included in the financial assistance program.
Worth mentioning, in the first three phases of the first installment, a total of 25 lakh women received their payments on September 17, while another 39 lakh benefited from the second phase on October 9 and 20 lak beneficiaries from the third phase on November 24. With the goal of covering 1 crore beneficiaries by December, the Odisha Government is working towards further expanding the reach of this significant initiative, aimed at improving the socio-economic status of women in the state.
The Subhadra Yojana, a flagship initiative by the Odisha Government, aims to empower women by providing them with financial support. As part of the scheme, women are being credited Rs 5000 directly into their bank accounts.
