Bhubaneswar, April 4: The newly elected members of the Bhubaneswar Bar Association took their oaths on Thursday afternoon in a grand ceremony held at the Bar Association hall, located on the third floor.
The event commenced with the swearing-in of Ashok Kumar Patra, who was elected as the President for the 2025-26 term. Advocate Pramod Patnaik, the Election Officer, administered the oath of office. Outgoing Secretary Deepak Dash, Ex-Secretary Anjan Kumar Samantary, and senior Advocates presented flowers and a buckeye to the newly elected President as a gesture of goodwill.
Following President Patra, the newly elected Vice-President Kabindra Kumar Barik took his oath. Satya Ranjan Senapati was then sworn in as the Secretary of the Association. Rasmi Ranjan Mohanty took the oath as Joint Secretary, Dipti Prasad Nanda as Treasurer, and Rasmi Bhusan Mukhi as Assistant Secretary.
In addition, eight executive members—Akhyaya Kumar Das, Aushutosh Sasmal, Avinav Chanda, Jitendra Bhattacharya, Omtattwabit, Pradeep Kumar Pal, Santosh Kumar Mishra, and Subrat Senapati—also took their oaths for the 2025-26 term.
The ceremony was attended by over 700 advocates, who gathered to support the new leadership team that will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Association for the coming year. Under the guidance of President Ashok Kumar Patra, the new team is committed to ensuring the smooth functioning of the Bhubaneswar Bar Association, the second largest Bar Association of Odisha having more than four thousand Advocates as its members.
