Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Bay of Bengal at 6:10 AM today with tremors being experienced at several places across Odisha including Puri, Berhampur, Balasore, and Bhubaneswar.
The tremors were also experienced in several parts of West Bengal and neighboring Bangladesh.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake was recorded at latitude of 19.52°N and a longitude of 88.55°E. The quake occurred at a depth of 91 km in the Bay of Bengal.
