Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar today and attend a National Health Mission program in Odisha’s Puri.
As per the schedule, Nadda will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 7:55 pm today and proceed to Puri, where the program will be held. He will spend the night in the pilgrim city and participate in the national health summit at 10:00 am tomorrow.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling are expected to attend the programme in Puri, along with several state health secretaries. During the event, the Union Health Minister will engage in discussions with the secretaries on various topics.
Later, Nadda is scheduled to visit Shree Jagannath Temple at 2:00 pm before returning to Bhubaneswar. Then after taking rest at the State Guest House for a few hours, he will depart for Delhi in the evening.
During the health summit, the Union Health Minister will release the report of the 16th Common Review Mission. This mission evaluates the progress of the National Health Mission and highlights areas needing improvement.
Notably, this will be Nadda’s second visit to Odisha in recent times. Earlier, the Union Health Minister visited the state on September 26 last year.
