Bhadrak, Apr 17: In a gruesome incident, some miscreants hurled bombs at a group of villagers critically injuring at least seven people in Tihidi locality of Odisha’s Bhadrak district late last night.
The incident has been reported from Kampada village under Tihidi police limits in the district.
As per reports, two unknown attackers arrived on a motorcycle and threw crude bombs at a group of people sitting by the roadside. They quickly fled the scene after the attack, in which several people including women were injured.
Thereafter, the victims were rescued and initially rushed to Tihidi Community Health Centre (CHC). Later, three of them were shifted to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their health conditions deteriorated.
Upon getting the information, Tihidi police arrived at the scene and took stock of the situation.
A probe has been launched into the matter to unearth the details and the motive behind the attack. A platoon of police force has also been deployed in the village to maintain law and order situation, said the police.
