Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: With an aim to strengthen sports infrastructure, the Odisha Cabinet on Friday approved an outlay of Rs 4,124 crore for construction of block level stadiums in all the 314 blocks of the state.
According to an official release, each Block Level Stadium will be built on 8-10 acres of land and will feature facilities such as a football/cricket field, a clay athletic track with areas for throwing and jumping, courts for volleyball, kho kho, and kabaddi, indoor halls for badminton, table tennis, and more, along with a common facility center.
